Amu Handicrafts – Empowering Afghan Women Through Craft Founded in 2022 by Suhila Ahadi in Aikhanam Village, Takhar Province, Amu Handicrafts is a women-led initiative bringing Afghan tradition to life. With a team of 25 talented young women, we handcraft clothing, scarves, kilims, embroidered yakhans, and more—blending heritage with heart. Each piece is made with care, skill, and a dream: to empower women through meaningful work and preserve Afghan artistry.
