Afghanistan
My name is Bibi Marina Amani, and I am from Pul-e-Khumri District, Baghlan Province, Afghanistan. I completed my education up to grade 12 and have over 21 years of experience in tailoring and traditional Afghan crafts. I officially started my business in 2004, working with a group of ten women and girls who shared my passion for craft and creativity. What began as a small initiative has now grown into Aria Brand, a recognized name in traditional tailoring, with a team of 150 women actively involved in production and design. Our workshop is located in Pul-e-Khumri, behind Sadaf Hotel, Noor Agha Market, where we produce a wide range of handcrafted items including party dresses, Afghani Gand clothing, beaded embroidery, leather embroidery, silver jewelry, lapis lazuli stone accessories, hand-woven carpets, and engraved crafts. Each product represents the richness of Afghan culture and the strength of women artisans. My motivation to establish Aria Brand came from my deep love for the art and a desire to introduce our handmade creations to a global audience. I learned all of these skills independently, driven by personal dedication and a passion for preserving our cultural heritage. The mission of Aria Baghlan Tailoring is to increase income opportunities, support national economic growth, and create sustainable jobs for women and girls. We aim to expand into international markets, attract new customers, and showcase the unique value of Afghan craftsmanship worldwide. Currently, our products are sold through in-person sales and physical shops across the city, connecting directly with customers who value quality and tradition. By joining Aseel, I hope to share our journey and handmade art with the world and empower even more women through meaningful work. Thank you for supporting Aria Baghlan Tailoring — where every design is a blend of culture, passion, and purpose.
