My name is Bibi Sayeda Sayeedy, and I’m the founder of Ariana Tailors, based in the 13th district of Kandahar city. What started as small-scale tailoring work at home has grown into a vibrant business with a vision to reach national and international markets. I studied up to 14th grade and have 5 years of experience in tailoring. I began by sewing clothes for families in my neighborhood, but as demand grew, I signed contracts with local shopkeepers and expanded my business. Today, I run a professional tailoring center in Chawni, District 13, where I work with a team of five skilled women. At Ariana Tailors, we craft a wide variety of garments including: – Afghani traditional children’s clothes – Attan dresses – Punjabi outfits – Hijabs – Turkish and Hungarian-style dresses Each piece is made with care, attention to detail, and a deep love for Afghan culture. My inspiration for building this brand is to see it grow beyond Kandahar—to showcase our work at international exhibitions and to ship our products to other provinces and even abroad. We believe that with the right support and market access, Afghan women-led businesses like mine can truly shine. We take pride in our strong customer relationships, always tailoring based on their satisfaction and feedback. If we’re given a dedicated market or platform to sell our designs more widely, we’re confident it will open new doors for growth. Joining Aseel has been a powerful step forward. Through Aseel, we now have the opportunity to connect with buyers who appreciate handmade products and who want to uplift Afghan artisans. It's more than a platform—it’s a bridge to the world.
