Bahar Tailoring Founded by Roma Azimi, a dedicated and experienced fashion designer with a bachelor’s degree, Bahar is a proudly women-led tailoring brand based in Pul-e-Alam, Logar Province, Afghanistan. With over 11 years of hands-on experience, Roma has mastered the art of sewing and modern fashion design, specializing in custom dresses and traditional Afghan wear. Bahar began humbly as a home-based business and has since evolved into a small but impactful operation. Working directly from her home, Roma and her team of 5 skilled women produce elegant, made-to-order clothing that reflects both contemporary trends and Afghan cultural heritage. Roma’s motivation to create Bahar was born from a need in her community — a lack of professional tailors and limited access to market-ready, affordable clothing. With a vision to provide high-quality, beautifully designed garments at reasonable prices, Roma has committed herself to empowering Afghan women through craftsmanship and style. Bahar offers a wide range of products including wedding dresses, engagement outfits, traditional Afghan dresses, formal wear for women and girls, and more. Every piece is made to order with care, creativity, and cultural pride. Roma’s ultimate goal is to expand her brand globally, create more jobs for Afghan women and girls, and build a sustainable future through fashion. She envisions a world where Afghan-made clothing is recognized for its beauty and craftsmanship, and where women lead successful businesses in creative industries. She learned her skills from talented sewing masters in Herat, and has since perfected them into a professional craft.
