Welcome to Bamyan Weavers. 🌿 We’re a collective of Afghan women artisans led by Zahra Kazemi, a passionate and resilient woman who started this journey against all odds. After facing years of hardship, including war, relocation, and starting over, Zahra turned a small metal shelter in Bamyan into a space of hope and creativity. In 2013, she officially launched the business and, with the support of Mary Mag Mcken, landed a life-changing Canadian contract to make Kaleen beautiful small rugs. That opportunity helped 50 women earn their own income for the very first ti.
