Bano Yaqobi Tailoring Center was founded by Khatera Yaqobi, an entrepreneur from Kapisah with 8 years of experience in women’s garment production and handicrafts. What began in 2024 as a small home-based venture has grown into a thriving workshop employing 10 women. The center produces a wide range of Afghan-style garments, from traditional dresses and ceremonial outfits to embroidered and modern wear. Khatera’s mission is to empower women by providing jobs and financial independence, while blending Afghan tradition with modern fashion. With the support of Aseel, Bano Yaqobi Tailoring Center is now connecting with global markets, showcasing Afghan craftsmanship to the world and creating new opportunities for women in her community.
