Banowan Noor Handicrafts and Tailoring

Afghanistan

My name is Brishna Noori, and I am from Pul-e-Khumri District in Baghlan Province. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Law and Political Science and have been working in the field of tailoring and handicrafts for the past three years. In 1401 (2022), I officially launched my brand, Banowan Noor Handicrafts and Tailoring, with the goal of contributing to both economic growth and social development. Our workshop is located on the third floor of Ariana Market in Pul-e-Khumri, where I currently work with a team of 25 women. Through this business, we aim to address community needs while creating stable job opportunities for women, helping them earn an income with dignity. We specialize in handmade Afghani scarves (Gand), bead embroidery, Khamek embroidery, party dresses, modest everyday wear, knitting, and Balochi embroidery. I learned my tailoring skills through a local sewing course, and continue to develop through practice and teamwork. The vision behind Banowan Noor is to provide high-quality traditional products that not only meet local demand but also support the economic empowerment of women in our region. Our business plays a role in both meeting market needs and strengthening the foundation of the community. By joining Aseel, we are now able to showcase our work to a global audience that appreciates handmade products and stands with Afghan women entrepreneurs. Thank you for supporting Banowan Noor Handicrafts and Tailoring — where every piece reflects purpose, tradition, and opportunity.
