Sima Saadat – Stitching with Passion, Working with Purpose In the heart of Logar Province, lives a talented woman with skillful hands and a heart full of dedication — Sima bint Mir Ghulam Haidar, founder of the brand “Sima Tailoring.” With over 20 years of experience in tailoring, Sima began her journey at a young age, driven by passion and a love for her craft. Based in Mir Said Mahmood village in Kalingar, Sima works alongside a small team of 4 employees, sewing customized clothing based on her clients' preferences. Each piece is carefully crafted to meet the customer’s needs while preserving the beauty of traditional Afghan design. Although her formal education ended at the primary level, Sima gained her expertise through personal interest and hands-on training from her sister-in-law, combined with years of dedicated practice. Her main goal in running her business is simple yet powerful — to earn a halal (honest) income for her family. Today, Sima Saadat is a well-known name in her local community. With the support of ASEEL, Sima is excited to bring her handcrafted clothing to a larger market, and eventually, to customers around the world. This collaboration opens doors for her to showcase Afghan tailoring to the global stage, while empowering other women in her village. Sima Tailoring represents dedication, dignity, and the artistic spirit of Afghan women — a woman who, with just needle and thread, is sewing a brighter future for herself and others.
