My name is Gulalay Hamdard, and I’m the proud founder of Faizani Tailors, based in District 12 of Kandahar City. I started my journey 14 years ago, driven by a simple but powerful purpose: to earn a halal income for myself and my family during a time of deep economic hardship. What began as a modest effort in tailoring and Khamek Dozi (traditional Afghan embroidery) has now grown into a vibrant tailoring business. Along the way, I’ve trained and supported many women—passing on skills in sewing, embroidery, and professional development.
