Gaj Brand

-

Hi, I’m Kamila Kiarang, and I started Gaj Brand in 2018 because I wanted to create something that would not only support me but also give other Afghan women the opportunity to be independent and empowered. I come from an economics background, but my real passion has always been helping others, especially women, to find their path and create sustainable livelihoods. I started Gaj Brand with the simple idea of combining Afghan craftsmanship with opportunities for women to work from home. We make handmade Hazara clothes, shoes, boots, and men’s waistcoats, and I’m really excited to soon introduce fusion designs that mix Eastern and Western styles. Every piece we make tells a story about resilience, beauty, and culture. Right now, Gaj Brand is a small, but growing business. We have 7 incredible women working with us, and we’ve managed to reach customers not only in Afghanistan but also around the world through platforms like Aseel and Facebook. I want Gaj Brand to be a space where Afghan women can feel empowered, supported, and proud of the work they do. For me, it’s not just about selling clothes it’s about building a community of women who are passionate, creative, and able to provide for themselves and their families.
