My name is Kamela, and I run Golshan Tailoring Workshop in Zabul province, Afghanistan. Our shop is located in the central district, with tailoring work taking place in both a small alley and our home—we manage the work in two locations to keep up with customer demand. I’ve been working in this field for a long time, but I officially started this business around five years ago. Over time, I’ve developed my skills in tailoring, thanks to the guidance and teaching of experienced local masters. Although I didn’t have the chance to complete formal education, tailoring has become both a passion and a livelihood for me. At Golshan Tailoring Workshop, we create a variety of handmade products including rujayi gani (traditional quilts), children's clothing sets, bedroom sets, towels, and handwoven fabrics like patwan and pareenan. With the help of a small team and the support of our community, our goal is simple: to keep the work going and continue growing. Joining the Aseel platform has opened the door for us to reach more people and show the beauty of Zabul’s craftsmanship to the world. Each item we make carries a piece of our culture, and through Aseel, we hope to preserve these traditions and build a better future.
