Gowhar Nayab Carpet

My name is Aqela Sultani, daughter of Mohammad Ali, and I come from Gawswaran village in Pul-e-Khumri, Baghlan province. I completed my education up to grade 14 and officially started my business in 2020 with a simple but powerful goal: to create job opportunities for myself and others in my community. That’s how Gowhar Nayab Carpet was born. With limited resources but a lot of determination, I began weaving carpets with a few women from my village. Over time, our work grew—and today, I’m proud to lead a team of 40 local artisans.
