My name is Hasina Habib, and I am the founder of Hasina Boutique, based in Qalat city, Zabul province. My passion for tailoring began in childhood—watching my mother work with fabric and thread inspired me to follow in her footsteps. Over time, that interest grew into a real skill and eventually into a vision for something bigger. In 2021, I officially launched Hasina Boutique with a bold plan. I rented a shop in the women’s market, hired a team of 10 employees, and built separate sections for tailoring courses, customer orders, and production. For a few months, the business flourished. But after the regime change, we were no longer allowed to operate in the market. I moved the business into a rented house, but high expenses and limited income made it difficult to continue. After a short pause, I restarted Hasina Boutique in early 2025—this time, fully online and from home. I now take orders through digital platforms, advertise my work online, and deliver each custom-made piece directly to customers. I currently manage a team of 5 people, and together, we are rebuilding this dream with determination. Most of my work focuses on traditional Afghan women’s clothing, but I also create trending items like handmade hijabs based on customer demand. My goal is to build a sustainable business, gain financial independence, and have a reliable source of income—while preserving the beauty of Afghan fashion. Thanks to platforms like Aseel, I now have the opportunity to share my designs with a wider audience and show the strength and creativity of Afghan women entrepreneurs.
