My name is Rahmat Bibi, and I run Jahani Tailoring and Embroidery from Hazari village, near Haji Agha Mohammad Mosque, in the center of Zabul province. I never had formal education, but I learned everything I know about tailoring from my family, and I’ve been sewing for over 11 years now. I started this small workshop around 7 years ago because I saw the needs of women and families around me. At first, it was just about helping people with their everyday clothing, but slowly, it turned into something more. Today, I work from my home with a team of four women, and together we create Afghani dresses, hijabs, embroidery work, and more. Our brand is called Jahani, which to me reflects the hope that our work can reach beyond the village, even to the world. We don’t have a shop in the market—everything is done from home—but through word of mouth, local orders, and a deep understanding of what our community needs, we’ve built strong trust. My goal has always been clear: to support our people, to strengthen the economy, and to help other women learn and earn. Every stitch we make is about more than clothing—it’s about dignity, independence, and building a better future. Now, through Aseel, our handmade work can go even further. Aseel helps women like me connect with buyers who appreciate our craft, our effort, and our story. It's a door to new opportunities that we never had before. By supporting Jahani Tailoring and Embroidery, you’re not just purchasing traditional Afghan clothing—you’re uplifting a team of women who are sewing their way toward something bigger.
