Jamai Tailoring– Empowering Women Through Fashion and Culture Sahar Azizi, a young entrepreneur from Pul-e-Alam, Logar Province, started her fashion business in January 2023 in the Kalingar area. With an education up to Grade 7 and over two years of experience, she turned her passion for tailoring into a brand focused on creating popular Afghan clothing and styles loved by women in her community. Her brand offers modern Afghan dresses that combine tradition with current trends, reflecting the identity and taste of local women. With the help of 8 dedicated women employees, many from low-income backgrounds, Sahar is not only growing her business but also helping others gain financial independence. Sahar learned her skills through local courses and the support of friends, and she was motivated by a desire to support women economically and provide tailoring services to underserved women. Today, she sells her clothes in local markets, her shop, and nearby cities, and her reputation continues to grow. Through her collaboration with ASEEL, Sahar is excited to share her products with customers around the world. This partnership allows her to showcase the beauty of Afghan clothing and bring her handmade designs to a global audience—while also helping more women in her community. Sahar’s mission is clear: to empower women through fashion, education, and economic opportunity—and with ASEEL, she’s one step closer to achieving that dream.
