Kochi Afghan

My name is Kochi Afghan, and I come from Daman district in Kandahar. I founded the Kochi Afghan Women’s Union in 2019 with a simple dream—to turn a small business into something meaningful. I started with just a few handmade items, driven by a love for Afghan crafts and the desire to create economic opportunities for women like me. I studied up to sixth grade, and everything I know about tailoring and crafts, I learned through a local sewing center and hands-on experience. Over the past 6 years, I’ve built a business rooted in cultural pride and women’s collaboration.
