Lora Bright

Afghanistan

Lora Bright founder Marziah Hafizi launched her unique clothing line in 2018 with the goal of empowering Afghan businesses to take control of their market share, reducing reliance on external countries like Turkey, India, and Iran. Hafizi, a journalism graduate, aimed to boost Afghanistan's economy by promoting Afghan-owned products. She believes platforms like Aseel are vital for increasing product sales both domestically and internationally, preserving Afghanistan’s cultural heritage. Over the past two years, Hafizi has worked tirelessly to increase visibility for Lora Bright through exhibitions in Afghanistan, India, Turkey, and Kazakhstan. The brand, which employs 35 Afghans (mostly women), offers flexibility with the option to work from home or the shop. As the brand expands into menswear and jewelry, Hafizi hopes that joining Aseel will help drive international growth and sales. Hafizi envisions a future where Afghans thrive by supporting themselves with beautiful, handmade clothing, refusing to let challenges stop her dream of a brighter future.
