Marwa Tailor Handicrafts

My name is Marwa, and I am the founder of Marwa Tailor Handicrafts, based in Kandahar. I officially started my business in 2012, but my passion for tailoring and handicrafts began long before that. I learned everything from my mother—how to sew, design, and create beautiful traditional clothing using Afghan techniques passed down through generations. I studied up to 6th grade in school, but most of my skills came from home—what we call morani zedkara—and the rich traditions of Afghan craftsmanship.
