Najiba Tailoring – Creativity, Culture & Purpose From the village of Mangokhil in Pul-e-Alam, Logar Province, Najiba is building a name for herself through dedication, creativity, and a deep passion for Afghan craftsmanship. With five years of experience in tailoring and traditional handwork, her journey began in Pakistan, where she received training in sewing and handicrafts before returning to her homeland. A Grade 7 graduate, Najiba launched Najiba Tailoring to turn her skills into a source of income and stability for her family. Today, she works alongside three women, offering a range of Afghan dresses, modest hijabs, and handmade items such as mirror embroidery (mori-dozi) and other artisanal products. Her brand is driven by a strong purpose — to increase household income, bring creativity and innovation into traditional fashion, and support other women in her community. She receives custom orders from her village and nearby markets in Logar, growing her business one stitch at a time. With Najiba Tailoring, Najiba is not only preserving Afghan heritage but also creating a better future for her family. Through her partnership with ASEEL, she looks forward to bringing her authentic and meaningful work to the world.
