Nangarhar Tailoring Workshop

-

My name is Habiba Safi, and I’m the founder of Nangarhar Tailoring Workshop, located in Hawashinasi village, Qalat center, Zabul province. I studied up to 6th grade, but my real learning came from my mother, who was also a tailor. She worked hard to support our family during tough times, and her strength became my greatest inspiration. I’ve been sewing for over 22 years now. I officially started my business in 2003, driven by passion, the desire to help my family, and a strong commitment to serving our community. I wanted to earn an honest living through work that I love—and provide clothing made with care and dignity. Today, I run my workshop with the support of five women, and we sew all types of designs. Whether it’s a traditional dress or a custom piece, we put heart into everything we create. We named our brand Nangarhar Tailoring because it carries deep cultural pride and reflects the values we hold. The goal of our work is simple but powerful: to earn halal income and to serve our people. Every dress we make is a blend of tradition, creativity, and hope—especially for women like us who are working to improve our lives and support our families. Now, with the support of Aseel, we have a new opportunity to grow. Aseel gives us a platform to share our handmade clothes beyond our village, reaching people who respect traditional craftsmanship and believe in empowering Afghan women. When you support Nangarhar Tailoring Workshop, you’re not just buying a dress—you’re standing with women who are building something meaningful, stitch by stitch.
