My name is Nagina Rustamzada, and I am from Pul-e-Khumri District, Baghlan Province, Afghanistan. I hold a 14th-grade diploma and bring with me over 15 years of experience in tailoring and traditional clothing. My business journey began in 1389 (2010), starting small with a few "Shaparak" sewing machines purchased for just 4,000 Afghanis. With passion and perseverance, I laid the foundation for what is now known as Nelgon Brand. Our workshop is located near Dosaraka, behind the Mining Wall, Tang-e-Til Kheirkhah Street, and is run by a team of 25 individuals, including four master tailors. From these roots, we have grown into a dedicated production and training center, committed to both craftsmanship and empowerment. Nelgon Tailoring and Training Center offers a wide variety of handcrafted products such as Afghani scarves (Gand), traditional Chapan coats, embroidered bags, prayer mats, traditional Afghan collar designs (Yakhanqaq), and many types of custom-made clothing. Our designs are deeply inspired by Afghan heritage and are tailored to meet modern demands. My passion for creating a brand came from a strong personal interest and the belief that women-led businesses can shape not just families but the future of our society. I acquired my skills professionally through social media networks and digital learning, refining them over the years to build a brand rooted in creativity and purpose. Our current sales include contract-based deliveries to shops in the city and provinces, as well as direct orders from individuals in the community. Our mission is clear: to raise the standard of living, contribute to the national economy, and offer opportunities for Afghan women to grow through skill and work.
