My name is Laiqa Omari, and I am the founder of Omari Tailors Handicrafts, proudly based in Zherai District, Kandahar. I launched my small business in 2020, working from my home with a clear goal: to build a professional and growing tailoring brand that offers opportunity, creativity, and quality. With over 5 years of experience, I learned tailoring from my family and turned that knowledge into a full-time profession. Today, I manage a team of 10 to 12 women, and together, we produce a wide variety of designs—offering more than 20 different clothing styles, including a beautiful range of hijabs. We receive custom orders directly from our loyal customers and even provide hijabs to local schools. Every piece we create reflects not only our skill but also our commitment to building something meaningful. At Omari Tailors, our vision is to grow into a well-established brand that delivers real progress and achievement—not just for me, but for every woman involved. We want our work to speak for us and show what women can accomplish when given the right space and support. Thanks to Aseel, we now have the chance to reach more people and take our handmade products beyond the walls of our home workshop. Every product ordered helps us grow and brings us closer to our dream of building a strong, sustainable business that empowers Afghan women through honest, skilled work.
