Sajida Clothing Design – Crafting Style with Passion and Dedication Sajida, a skilled and passionate tailor from Asadabad, Kunar Province, has recently launched Sajida Clothing Design with a clear vision to create high-quality, custom-designed clothing. Though Sajida does not have formal education, she brings over 10 to 15 years of practical experience gained through hands-on work in the field and through collaboration with local peers. Having started her business just six months ago in Damkali, Asadabad, Sajida Clothing Design has quickly captured the attention of her community. Sajida’s workshop is currently operated with a team of 7 people, including 6 dedicated workers and herself, all focused on delivering a variety of custom-made garments such as coats, patros, meryo (traditional Afghan dress), and many other types of hand-sewn clothing. Sajida’s motivation for starting her business is simple but powerful: she wants to earn a halal livelihood and ensure a better future for her family by offering skilled craftsmanship and a wide range of clothing options to her local community. Sajida Clothing Design is not only about fashion but also about empowering women and keeping Afghan culture alive through craftsmanship. In her six months of operation, Sajida’s business has generated an estimated income of 30,000 AFN per month, demonstrating the growing interest and demand for her unique designs and quality work. Through Aseel, Sajida Clothing Design aims to expand its reach and share the beauty of Afghan tradition with a global audience, while continuing to empower local artisans and contribute to the local economy.
