Sima Tailoring Workshop – In the heart of Asadabad, Kunar Province, lives a determined and skilled young woman named Seema, who turned her passion for tailoring into a growing business. Three years ago, she launched her own brand, “Sima Tailoring Workshop,” with a simple yet powerful vision: to build something under her own name and move her work forward with purpose. A Grade 10 graduate, Seema developed her tailoring skills through hands-on practice in her village and completed a three-month training course with SWSSO. Today, she leads a small team of five women, creating beautiful traditional Afghan clothing that blends cultural heritage with creative design. Her motivation came from a strong desire to be independent, support her family, and build a brand that reflects her hard work and identity. Her workshop, located in Andarsir, Nawey Kalay, is now a space for empowerment, learning, and preserving Afghan artistry. Through her recent collaboration with Aseel, Seema is excited to take her products beyond her village and share them with customers around the world. By showcasing her handmade Afghan dresses on Aseel, she hopes to grow her business, reach new audiences, and inspire other women in her community to dream big. With each stitch, Sima Tailoring Workshop is creating more than just clothing—it's weaving a story of resilience, purpose, and opportunity.
