With 5 years of experience in tailoring, Walwala’s journey began nearly five years ago, when she decided to follow in her mother’s footsteps. Her mother, also a skilled tailor, encouraged Walwala to pursue the craft and create something of her own—combining the love for fashion and a desire to provide a sustainable income for her family. With 14 years of formal education, Walwala developed her tailoring skills through hands-on experience in her community, and now runs her brand with a team of six employees, specializing in a variety of traditional Afghan clothing. The products she creates include leather garments, Afghan embroidery, Punjabi suits, and a variety of other custom designs. Her dedication to quality and attention to detail sets her apart in the local market. Walwala Tailoring was founded with the motivation to provide high-quality garments and contribute to her family’s financial stability. The brand’s mission is not only to offer beautiful clothing but also to promote Afghan culture and preserve traditional craftsmanship. Having learned her skills from her mother, Walwala now proudly mentors six apprentices, empowering them with the knowledge of tailoring and helping them create a better future. While Walwala Tailoring started with local sales, the brand is now eager to expand its reach, aiming to serve both local and international markets through platforms like Aseel. Walwala’s vision for the future is to grow her business, create more job opportunities, and continue serving the community with fine Afghan-made clothing.
