My name is Ziba Yaqoubi, and I come from the heart of Kandahar, from a district called Shahrwali. For over 23 years, I've been practicing the art of tailoring—a skill I first learned at home, guided by family and tradition. What started as a simple way to support my loved ones has now grown into a full-fledged business I proudly run from my home. Ziba Tailors is more than a brand—it's a small but strong community of 18 to 20 women who come together every day to create beautiful, handcrafted Afghani and Punjabi dresses. Our designs are deeply rooted in culture and made for people who appreciate the beauty of tradition with a touch of modern style. Our journey hasn’t been easy, but with dedication and passion, we’ve built something truly meaningful. Today, our clothes are loved not only in Kandahar but also by customers around the world. We’re proud to receive orders from abroad and to share a piece of Afghanistan with people everywhere. Joining Aseel has opened new doors for us. Through Aseel’s platform, we’ve been able to reach more customers, tell our story, and grow our impact. Aseel helps us connect with people who care about handmade work and want to support women like me—who are building businesses with their own hands and hearts. My dream is to continue growing, train more women, and ensure that our craft lives on for generations. Every dress we sew at Ziba Tailors carries our hopes, our culture, and our pride.
