Launched in April 2024, the business aims to empower Afghan women through the art of handicrafts, offering a platform for financial independence. With a team of 8 artisans, Zuhal Embroidery specializes in hand-embroidered shawls (chadar), beaded designs, Afghan gowns, and custom-made jewelry, among other products. Zuhal learned her craft through online resources, refining her skills in embroidery and beadwork. Through its collaboration with ASEEL, Zuhal Embroidery has expanded its reach to international markets, bringing Afghan-made products to Afghans abroad and a global audience. This partnership has allowed Zuhal Embroidery to empower even more women and promote Afghan culture worldwide, while offering customized products for customers seeking unique designs. Zuhal’s goal is to continue growing the brand, providing opportunities for women’s empowerment and showcasing the beauty of Afghan craftsmanship on the global stage.
