About Campaign
Afghanistan, a nation often classified as part of the Third World, is home to many impoverished individuals who struggle daily to meet their basic needs. I, too, have risen from the lower rungs of this society, giving me a deep understanding of the hardships faced by those in similar circumstances. Throughout my experiences and interactions with families across the country, I've encountered stories that starkly illustrate the harsh realities of life for Afghanistan's poor.
1. A family with a disabled father who is unable to work properly but is forced to beg on the streets to feed his 12 children and wife.
2. A widow with eight children, both boys and girls, who works tirelessly cleaning houses and washing clothes to provide food for her family.
3. A disabled father who, despite his difficulty walking with a cane, polishes shoes to ensure his children don't go to bed hungry.
4. An elderly man who is the sole breadwinner for his household, scouring the city streets daily, hoping to find someone in need of labor so he can earn some money.
5. A widow whose eldest son works collecting plastic and scrap metal, earning just 100 to 150 Afghanis a day, barely enough to buy a few loaves of bread, some sugar, and salt to sustain the family.
These are just a few examples of the countless stories of hardship in Afghanistan, reflecting the relentless struggle for survival faced by many in the country.
