About the Campaign
Many provinces in Afghanistan witnessed flash floods which brought further misery to the already suffering Afghanistan. According to reports the flash floods have hit seven provinces. Among these, residents in Maidan Wardak, Kabul and Ghazni are severely affected. Based on published reports and information shared by the authorities, at least 31 people are killed, 74 are injured and 41 others are still missing. Moreover, more than 250 livestock perished, hundreds of houses are either damaged or collapsed and hundreds of square miles of agricultural lands washed out. It is believed that those missing might be still under the rubble of collapsed houses. You may read more on Aljazeera report about the flash floods in Afghanistan.
We at Aseel are launching this fundraising campaign to gather funds and resources to help those affected by the flash floods not only in Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Kabul but also in other provinces. We also plead to everyone who cares about Afghanistan and Afghans to collaborate with us in helping more people and making difference in Afghans’ lives.
