On February 6th, 2023, a devastating earthquake at the magnitudes of 7.8 and 7.6 struck southern and central Turkey and northern and western Syria, causing widespread destruction and tens of thousands of fatalities. In the face of this crisis, our Aseel Do Good team in Istanbul, quickly sprang into action.

Aseel launched the Do Good initiative in Turkey, a pioneering platform that works to combat humanitarian crises around the world. The initiative enabled anyone who wanted to assist affected families to send their aid directly and transparently to Turkey. This made it possible for people all over the world to contribute to the relief efforts in Turkey and help those in need.

Aseel Do Good Team Loading Emergency Relief Packages for Earthquake Victims

Aseel's team collaborated closely with the local municipality to ensure that aid was sent directly to the hardest-hit regions, especially in Hatay and Kahramanmaraş. They carefully tracked the aid to make sure that it was reaching those who needed it most. The initiative involved curating emergency packages that included basic food and shelter items. Aseel partnered with organizations that helped them provide vulnerable families and individuals with the essentials they needed to survive the crisis. Our team in Istanbul worked tirelessly to make sure that aid reached the people who needed it most.
